Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Removal Van Pimlico is committed to conducting all aspects of our business in an ethical and responsible manner. This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps we take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our own operations and throughout our supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to act with integrity and to promote respect for human rights in everything we do.
Modern slavery includes slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, bonded labour and human trafficking. We acknowledge that these abuses can occur in any country and industry, including logistics and removals, and we are determined to play our part in eradicating them.
Our Zero-Tolerance Policy
Removal Van Pimlico has a strict zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We will not knowingly engage with any individual, contractor, or organisation involved in such practices. This applies to all aspects of our activities, including the recruitment and management of our workforce, the selection and use of suppliers and subcontractors, and our relationships with customers and partners.
All workers engaged by Removal Van Pimlico must do so on a voluntary basis and must be free to leave employment in line with legal and contractual requirements. We do not tolerate child labour, forced overtime, retention of identity documents as a condition of work, or the imposition of unlawful recruitment fees. Any suspected breach of this policy will be treated as a serious matter and may result in termination of contracts and, where appropriate, reporting to relevant authorities.
Our Supply Chain and Supplier Audits
Our supply chain includes providers of vehicles, fuel, equipment, uniforms, storage facilities, maintenance services and other logistics-related services. We expect all suppliers and subcontractors to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery and to uphold all applicable labour and human rights laws.
We assess new suppliers on their ethical standards and labour practices as part of our onboarding process. This assessment may include review of their policies, public statements, and responses to our modern slavery due diligence questions. Where we identify higher-risk categories, we may require further evidence of compliance and additional contractual assurances relating to labour standards, working conditions, and the prohibition of modern slavery.
Removal Van Pimlico is developing a programme of periodic supplier audits that may include site visits, documentation reviews and worker interviews, where proportionate and practical. Failure by a supplier to meet our standards or to provide appropriate cooperation during an audit may result in corrective action plans, increased monitoring, or the ending of the business relationship.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
We encourage all employees, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to raise concerns about any issue or suspicion of modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chain. Individuals are urged to report concerns to their manager or an appropriate senior representative within Removal Van Pimlico, or through any internal reporting mechanism that we make available for confidential disclosures.
All reports are taken seriously and will be investigated promptly and fairly. We do not tolerate victimisation or retaliation against any person who raises a concern in good faith. Where appropriate, and in line with our legal obligations, we will cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory bodies in investigating suspected cases of modern slavery.
Training, Awareness and Continuous Improvement
Removal Van Pimlico is committed to raising awareness of modern slavery among our employees, particularly those involved in recruitment, procurement and supplier management. We provide guidance on recognising potential indicators of exploitation and the correct steps to take if concerns arise. We continue to review opportunities to strengthen our processes, improve staff training and enhance our due diligence procedures.
We recognise that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility and requires continuous improvement. We will monitor developments in legislation, industry best practice and guidance to ensure that our approach remains effective and appropriate for the size and nature of our business.
Annual Review and Governance
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is reviewed at least annually by the senior management of Removal Van Pimlico. The review considers any incidents or concerns raised, the effectiveness of our controls and audits, changes in our operations or supply chains, and any emerging risks or regulatory developments.
Following each review, we will update this statement and our internal procedures as necessary to strengthen our response to modern slavery. This statement represents our current position and our commitment to continual improvement in the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
